An effective teaching depends upon the selection of instructional materials that meet the needs of students & fit with the constraints of teaching learning environment. Number of instructional medias are available in this technological world namely film clippings, videos, YouTube resources, animations etc.
We know a wide variety of resources are available to help the teacher to meet the needs & interests of their students. Effective use of instructional material would enable the students to learn & retain what they in which they are viewing the video & be given a proper instruction. Effective coupling of instructional strategies with cognitive modelling traits can be a powerful tool to foster the rate & growth of learning.

  • Videos

By watching movies or TV program, deep feelings & emotions are elicited such as anger, excitement, laughter, relaxation, love etc. Emotions are often heightened by the mood created by visual scenes, actors & or the background music.

A video can have a strong effect on our mind & senses.
It is also powerful that we may download it off the internet then we can relive the entire experience over & over again.
This attraction to videos extends to movies, TV programs, commercials & music videos.

Teacher can use video clips as an instructional tool so their students can experience the powerful cognitive emotional impact.

Youtube channels has emerged to delivery high quality educational content on an accessible, engaging format. Instructional & lecture videos can be found in youtube.

Youtube is one of the most popular websites on the planet & a vast resource content.

A completely free resource this huge & varied has nearly
endless potential for the classroom.

  • Teacher tube
It is a safe educational video community for teachers, students & parents. It is similar to youtube in it's functioning but it is exclusively devoted to educational content. We can access any of the videos on the website for free.

  • Neo K 12
It has a large collection of educational videos for K 12 students in a variety of subjects. Most of the videos are 10 minutes or less. So it easily fit into class time. Websites also includes quizzes, games & other interactive activities along with the videos.

  • TedEd
This site is known for big ideas. It also provides videos which manage useful mix of entertainment & educational value.

Film clippings A good film on commerce education is very helpful in illustrating the work of an organisation, qualities of leadership & several business organisation. They enrich the learning by presenting sequences of meaningful experiences. Films have innate capacity to draw attention, heighten interest & motivation & offer aesthetic experiences.

Animations can draw students into the lesson while illustrating specific concepts. Some animations can provided one way instructions to the students while other animations can be highly interactive.

Tupi Tube App is a free app designed to create & share drawings & 2D animations in an easy way from cell phones & tablets.
